Creating a Wondrous Website with Graphic Design
There is often a misconception that graphic designers and their work are confined to the internet and more specifically websites, but of course this couldn’t be further from the truth. Almost everything we encounter today in this digital media age has been touched by the work of a graphic designer. From the movies we see in the cinema (with hosts of special effects) to the video games we play on our computers and consoles and even the charts and graphs we might see on our 24 hour news channels. The world and work of the graphic designer has become all encompassing and there is almost always work available for a good designer. However, websites do indeed still play a pivotal role in a graphic designer’s life and it wouldn’t take you many minutes of browsing to single out the good websites from the bad ones. The graphic design can often make the difference between a business site performing well and it tragically underperforming. The aim of the designer is to draw you further into the website once you have landed on a page and perhaps ultimately to convince you that a purchase would be a good choice. How can simple design do that? Well, it’s all of course in the presentation. If a site is ugly and badly laid out, the first thing the user will do is click away from the site, but if the presentation is attractive and the site is easy to navigate and interesting then the chances of us staying longer on the site are greatly increased. A good example of what it’s all about can be found at Liverpool graphic design which shows you all the different aspect involved.
